Meeting Minutes December 6, 1999 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m |

| The
meeting was mostly spent in bringing Peggy up to speed with the focus of
CAS and the development to this date. It was agreed that it would be appropriate
to bring in Jason Elwood from Miami University to meet with the Steering
Committee at a future date. This will be most appropriate once the committee
has established a better plan of what they will need to learn from Jason.
Gary will check further with the University of Minnesota to determine how the contract will be submitted to Miami. There will be cost savings if we submit one contract and maintenance agreement versus having them submitted separately by MnSCU and the U of M. Gary and Laurie will check with John Printz this Friday (at SPEEDE meeting) about the status of the U of M admissions office plan for transfer articulation in DARS to assist in developing a timetable for CAS development. Laurie will contact U of Wisc – River Falls to touch base with their CAS project director to hopefully get some information about implementation there. It might also be appropriate in the future to have some River Falls people come and talk to the steering committee. The next meeting of the CAS Steering Committee will be held in late December or early January. At that time, we’d like to start developing a timetable and establishing what information the group feels they would like to learn from Jason Elwood. |
